What's new in Uncork 1.0
Updated 6 October 2026 · Uncork 1.0.5
Short version: from version 1.0 the Uncork core is free and works with no account, and only Uncork Pro is paid: €19 once, no end date, every 1.x version before 2.0. Every version with its date is on the changelog.
What is free, with no account
- Launching games from Steam and the Epic Games Store, and bottles (separate environments for Windows games).
- “Find out why” and repairs after crashes, and Steam optimisations.
- Game Mode for every game, gamepad mode and the mouse check.
- Windows components: .NET, DirectX, fonts (since version 1.0.2).
- Assetto Corsa through Steam: Uncork installs the components it needs by itself.
What is in Pro, and what you pay for
Uncork Pro is €19 once, no end date. You pay for what Uncork built itself, not for the compatibility layer underneath: that one is open and the same as in other launchers.
- The mouse read from the device: up to 1000 Hz, while the game hides the cursor.
- Even frames for single-player games, and “on battery — an even 60”.
- The in-game panel.
- Assetto Corsa in one click: Content Manager and the race screen.
- Logitech G923 force feedback (in Pro since version 1.0.1).
- New versions sooner, and a direct line to the developer.
If you paid before 1.0
Everyone who paid before 1.0 got Uncork Pro with no end date. There is nothing to do. If something is not right, write to hello@uncork.win or on Telegram: @uncorkwin.
What has not changed
- Uncork is not notarized. First launch: “System Settings → Privacy & Security → Open Anyway” (details).
- You need a Mac with Apple Silicon (M1 or later), macOS 14 or later, and Rosetta 2.
- Games with kernel-level anti-cheat do not run (why).
- 13 games tested, most only as far as the menu or the first screen: the list.
- Fixes for 1.0.x install by themselves for everyone when you quit Uncork: never during a game, never while Steam is running. Turn it off with the “Install fixes automatically” switch. Versions 1.1 and later you install with a button, and Pro gets them sooner.
How to try it
Download Uncork: no account needed. Uncork offers the 7-day Pro trial once, in the summary after your first game: the “Try Pro” button. “Not now” sends nothing, and what the app does send is on the page “What Uncork sends”.
You pay for Pro with Telegram Stars or crypto through OxaPay; there are no cards.
